Miguel Andrade, with a Renault 5 Gt Turbo, is the new leader of Rally Madeira Legend, after the two first sections of the event organized by Club sports da Madeira have finished. Rui Conceição, behind the wheel of a Ford Escort RS Cosworth, has already been leading the competition, but now is in the second position, 1,3 seconds of the leader. João Martins, in his Ford Escort Mk I, holds a position in the podium, as he is the third, 13,8 seconds from the leader.
The competitors’ performance in Serra d’Água and Boaventura was cherished by the public that could not be indifferent with the performance of the drivers of the Legend Show that will not have a qualification. Rally Madeira Legend will be over by the end of this afternoon, after the battle in more than three special stages, Referta, at 16:11 hours, Quatro Estradas, at 16:32 hours, and Terreiro da Luta, at 16:57 hours. The competition is going to finish with the Special Stage in Avenida Sá Carneiro, starting at 19:17 hours.
