How is the Peugeot Rally Cup Iberica going?

The Peugeot Rally Cup Iberica is a mono-brand competition organised by the French brand and whose calendar includes six events, half in Portugal and the other in Spain. At this point, the Terras d'Aboboreira, Vodafone de Portugal and Ourense rallies have already been completed. There are three more events to go: Vinho da Madeira, Princesa de Asturias and RACC Catalunya.

At the top of this trophy is the Portuguese Pedro Antunes, who won in the Terras d'Aboboreira and Ourense rallies and did not go beyond fourth place in the WRC round disputed in our country. The driver from Torres Vedras has a good advantage over the Spaniards Iago Gabeiras and Sergi Perez. Gabeiras was second and third in the first two rallies of the year but dropped out in the only one so far held in his country.

Perez, who dropped out in the opening race but has been second and fourth more recently, has almost the opposite story. Aleksandr Semenov, who has never been on the podium, is fourth ahead of Ricardo Sousa, who was best in the Rally of Portugal but dropped out in the other two events.

Classification: 1st Pedro Antunes, 72; 2nd Iago Gabeiras, 41; 3rd Sergi Perez, 38; 4th Aleksandr Semenov, 32; 5th Ricardo Sousa, 26; 6th Ernesto Cunha, 24; 7th Alex Español, 20; 8th Santiago Garcia, 17; 9th Hugo Lopes, 14; 10th Paulo Roque, 14. 20 competitors are classified.
